I served 26 years in the Active Duty US Air Force, retiring as a Colonel in 2009. I am now "retired" in Grand Rapids. I have "been around the block" a few times and knows what it means to serve others.

As a semi-retired Lawyer, I take a limited number of clients, so that I can serve those clients with the care and attention they deserve.

I am a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and the Western Michigan T.M. Cooley Law School. I graduated Law School Magna Cum Laude and served on the Law Review and the Honor Council. While in law school, I externed with Barnes and Thornburg, LLP, (Corporate Law/Aviation) and Interned with the Access to Justice Clinic (Family Law/General Civil).

I run what is called a "virtual" law practice.  I primarily work out of my home office, visits clients in their homes, and also have use of office space in the Waters Building in downtown Grand Rapids.  I maintain all my files electronically and after the culmination of your matter, all paper copies are shredded.  By not maintaining the overhead of a full-time office, I am able to pass that savings on to you.

I am licensed to practice law in the Michigan state courts and the United States Federal District Court for the Western District of Michigan.

I focus on you and your family. It is my goal to be "your family attorney", whether it is for the unexpected defense of a criminal or civil charge, or for planning for your future, and your children's future.
